VIDEO WALKTHROUGH
WHAT IS STANDBY?
When shows at Comedy Mothership sell out (which happens often, especially for Kill Tony), you can still try to get in through the standby line.
Standby seats are filled when ticket holders don't show up, or when there's extra room in the venue.
β οΈ NO GUARANTEES
Standby is not guaranteed. You might wait for hours and still not get in. But if you really want to see a show and it's sold out, it's your best shot.
HOW IT WORKS
Show Up Early
Get to Comedy Mothership well before the show time. The earlier you arrive, the better your spot in the standby line.
Get in the Standby Line
There's a separate line for standby (not the regular ticket holder line). Ask staff where to go.
Wait
Stay in line. Don't leave. They'll come out and grab people from standby once they know how many no-shows there are.
Be Ready to Pay
If they let you in, you'll need to pay for a ticket. Have payment ready.
TIPS FOR SUCCESS
β Best Days for Standby
Weeknight showcases tend to have more no-shows than big weekend events or Kill Tony. Your odds are better on a random Tuesday.
β Go Solo or in Pairs
Easier to fit 1-2 people than a group of 6. If you're with a big group, you might get split up or not all make it in.
β Be Patient & Polite
Staff deal with a lot. Being friendly and patient goes a long way. Don't be the person who argues.
β Don't Leave the Line
If you leave to grab food or wander off, you lose your spot. Commit to the wait.
